Indiana Ki Aikido holds one class per week that is open to anyone with access to the Earlham College Athletics and Wellness Center. This class is usually offered during a weekday morning. The exact schedule varies semester-by-semester.
Indiana Ki Aikido offers classes in association with the Earlham Aikido Club. These classes are open to all members of the Earlham Community. Club sessions are held twice weekly, once on a weeknight and once on the weekend.
Periodically, Atwater Sensei teaches Aikido class for credit at Earlham College. These are available to any enrolled Earlham student regardless of martial arts experience or physical ability.
Head Instructor
Dan Atwater Sensei (shodan) is the Head Instructor of Indiana Ki Aikido and an authorized Assistant Ki Lecturer and Assistant Examiner in the International Ki Society. Dan has studied Aikido under Vic Montgomery Sensei (Midland Ki Society), Andrew Tsubaki Sensei (Kansas Ki Society), Mayumi Case Sensei (Raleigh Ki Aikido), and Patrick Tarry Sensei (Raleigh Ki Aikido). Atwater Sensei holds a PhD from the University of Montana and is an Assistant Professor of Biology at Earlham College.
